Thanks to your persistence and partnership, we have completed more than 45,000 actions since January 20th, and have raised visibility and helped to move the needle on dozens of important issues facing our country and our planet. Our team is in the process of planning the next chapter - keep an eye on this space for actions and updates over the coming days. This is just the beginning :)

Day 100: Tally up!

4/28/2017

Even though 100 seconds doesn’t seem that long, some days fly by faster than others. Today is the last day of our campaign, but it is not the last day of action. You can do more, and we encourage you to keep taking daily action! Today, tally up how many actions you completed by taking this quiz and (maybe) complete one more to add to your list. How many did you get through?

Day 99: Give a shout out!

As our campaign progressed, we realized that 100 days was not enough. With daily actions for three months, we could connect people with amazing groups doing great things, but there will always be more to do, more #persistence and more #resistance.

Today, give a shout-out to a group that you think is totally rad and is doing great work for a cause you support. We’ve included a list of all the organizations we’ve supported over the last 100 days below - Show them some love or shout out to one of your favorites!

Day 98: Practice persistent giving

4/27/2017

Throughout this campaign, we have asked you to support organizations like Kids in Need of Defense, the GSA Network, and Planned Parenthood by making a quick donation to help fund their work.  As we move forward past Day 100, our persistence partners will need continued financial support to keep this work going strong.

You personally can help fuel the persistence. Choose an organization that is advancing a cause you care deeply about, and set up a small recurring donation.  You do not have to give a lot to make a difference. Your contribution can help sustain the crucial work that will continue to come from our outstanding persistence partners any many more organizations that we have yet to discover.

Day 97: Get your scoop!

4/25/2017

Now more than ever it is important that we have access to quality news sources.  Back in February, we shared a resource on how to differentiate real news from fake news. However, newspapers continue to see alarming declines in circulation and ad revenues.

Many newspapers offer great sources of relevant, reputable news information.  Thanks to around the clock work, activist all across the country are provided with up-to-date information that fuels their work.  Take 100 seconds today to support your local journalists and subscribe to a newspaper.

Day 96: Go to school

A group of progressive students at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government started Resistance School, a four week course on activism in the era of Trump.  The organizers’ main hope is to train activists “to strengthen the skills they need to take collective action and effectively resist the Trump agenda.”

We’ve noted that in order to maintain a long term game, we must combine acts of protest and resistance with acts of persistence.  This Thursday, April 27, at 7:00 EST you can join online for the fourth a final session of Resistance School, How to Sustain the Resistance Long-Term. This session will teach us about coalition building as a means to achieve the political power necessary to support the long-term goals of the resistance.  Commit today to view Thursday’s livestream and gain the tools for sustaining the resistance past day 100.

Day 95: Persistence partners

Several times during this campaign, you have contacted your members of Congress, a small but powerful action. Our goal today is to make sure this practice continues beyond day 100 by connecting you with our persistence partners. These organizations are working hard to make sure you’re in the know and have the tools to continue calling and reaching out successfully to your representatives well beyond Day 100. Take 100 seconds today to sign up for their email alerts, so that you always know when your voice is urgently needed.

Indivisible is focused on defeating Trump’s agenda.

Families USA  leads the movement for a nation where the best health and health care is equally accessible to all.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund works to ensure that reproductive health and rights are protected.

Day 94: Teach us!

We’ve offered a lot of suggestions over the past 13 weeks, but today we’re all ears. We hope you will share your feedback with us by taking part in a 100-second survey about your experience with the campaign. What we learn from you will help our team grow and improve, and your honest input will help us understand your hopes and suggestions as we look to day 100 and beyond.

This week, you have taken 100 seconds a day to care for the Earth. Because science is critically important in our understanding of our planet, we ask you to take your action to the next level - participate in the March for Science in your community or join virtually here.

We invite you to share your photos with the First 100 Ways community using #MarchForScience and #JoinThePersistence.
